COMPARE
Ginvid vs Pictory
Both tools make narrated videos from text. As of October 2026, Pictory says it takes a script, article, URL, PowerPoint, images or audio and also turns long videos into short clips, and its paid plans state credits and video minutes; Ginvid starts from an idea, script, voice recording, YouTube link or your own video, shapes the script by video type, and can run a channel on Autopilot. They suit different starting points more than they compete.

Where Pictory is the better fit
- You start from an article, a blog post, a URL or a PowerPoint and want it turned into a video.
- You want a free trial before you pay. Ginvid has no free plan, only a small credit pack for $9 and scripts written before you buy.
- You want a plan that states video minutes and a team plan with several users.
Where Ginvid is the better fit
- You start from a single idea and want the script shaped by a video type that you edit before anything is made.
- You want researched videos (News, True story, Geography, Data) written from sources, which are listed with the video.
- You want a channel that makes a new video on chosen days, with Autopilot, and optionally posts it to YouTube.
What costs what
Pictory counts credits and, on paid plans, video minutes a month. Ginvid counts credits at 1 for each started 100 seconds of video plus extras, and a plan's highlight is how many videos it covers (Starter lists up to 30 three-minute videos or 60 one-minute Shorts a month). The two cannot be compared by price alone; Ginvid also charges extra credits for the Motion look, premium voices and AI clips, and Pictory's pages list their own limits.
What this page cannot say
- How many voices or languages Pictory has: the pages read gave no count.
- Whether Pictory can run a channel on a schedule. The pages read did not describe it.
- Which gives better video. Look at examples of both.
