HELP
Use Ginvid in ChatGPT and Claude
Ask your assistant for a video in plain words. It writes the script with Ginvid, shows it to you, and makes the video in your Ginvid account when you say yes.

1. What you need
A Ginvid account with credits. The assistant uses your account as it is: the videos it makes are in My videos, and they use the credits you already have. You connect by signing in to Ginvid and choosing Allow; you never give the assistant your password.
2. Claude
On claude.ai or in the Claude app, open Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector. Name it Ginvid and give this address:
https://ginvid.ai/api/mcp
Choose Connect. Ginvid's sign-in page opens: sign in, check that the page names Claude, and choose Allow. Then ask Claude for a video.
Claude Code: run claude mcp add --transport http ginvid https://ginvid.ai/api/mcp, then type /mcp in Claude Code and choose Ginvid to sign in.
3. ChatGPT
Ginvid is waiting for review in ChatGPT's plugin directory. Once it is listed, find Ginvid there and choose Connect; Ginvid's sign-in page opens, and you choose Allow. Until then, if your ChatGPT has developer mode, you can add Ginvid yourself as a custom MCP server with the address above and OAuth sign-in.
4. What the assistant can do
- Start a video from an idea, an exact script or a public YouTube link, as a 9:16 Short or a 16:9 video, in 14 languages. Ginvid writes the script and nothing is charged yet.
- Show you the script and what the video will cost in credits, and make it when you approve. This is the moment credits are used.
- Check where a video stands and give you its download link when it is ready.
- Propose an edit to a finished video in plain words (“replace scene 3”, “make it landscape”), and apply it when you approve.
- Make a new thumbnail, and list your recent videos.
Ginvid uses credits only when a script or an edit is approved, never for a draft, and the assistant asks you before it approves. A failed video can be continued without paying again, or given up for a refund of its credits.
5. Things to ask for
- “Make a 30-second Short about why octopuses have three hearts. Show me the script first.”
- “Turn this script into a landscape video with a calm voice: …”
- “How is my last video doing? Give me the download link when it is done.”
- “In that video, replace the picture in scene 2 with a city at night.”
6. Disconnect
Open My account. Under Your own assistant, every connected app is listed with when it was last used; choose Disconnect, and it is refused within a minute. Deleting your Ginvid account removes every connection.
7. Privacy
Ginvid never sees your conversation with the assistant: only the requests it sends to Ginvid's tools, such as a video's topic or script, which Ginvid handles like requests from the studio. What Ginvid sends back (your videos' status, scripts and links) is then handled by the assistant's provider. Read more in the privacy policy.
